The quality of
public schools in Fayette County is evident by the academic
achievement of its students. Using state-of-the-art reading
programs and mathematics curricula, students consistently

Championship athletic
programs and a nationally recognized band program command
a large and proud community following. The band/music program
at Fayette County High is exemplary, having received numerous
first place awards at state competition and international
recognition at Mexico City, Mexico.
Fayette County was among the
first school system in Alabama to install fiber
optics to facilitate access to the information highway
to broaden students' knowledge and horizons.
Through the Fayette County Local Education Advancement Foundation,
parents, civic leaders and educators continue to upgrade the
quality of elementary and secondary education.
